In remembrance on Memorial Day

Updated: Jun 27, 2023

June 2023 - Lānaʻi Culture & Heritage Center brought together the island community to participate in bouquet making on Saturday, May 27 on the Lānaʻi Culture & Heritage Center lawn. The organization also brought together over 80 volunteers for the cemetery clean-up and bouquet placing on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29.

Just over 3,000 people live on Lānaʻi. The island is also home to a veterans cemetery, and the main cemetery is the final resting place of many immigrants from around the world who came during the pineapple plantation era in search of better lives. Lānaʻi Culture & Heritage Center hopes to honor all the Lānaʻi people who helped make the community what it is today.

Mahalo nui to all who came to help Lāna’i Culture & Heritage Center and Pūlama Lāna’i give back to our Lāna‘i community.

It is through the generosity of donors that this work is possible. Donations of any amount, large or small, matter greatly to us. Go here to give.
