Lāna‘i Memorial Day Bouquet Making Cleanup 2023
June 2023 – Lāna‘i Culture & Heritage Center brought the island community together for Lāna‘i Memorial Day bouquet making on Saturday, May 27, on their lawn. Additionally, the organization gathered over 80 volunteers for the cemetery clean-up and bouquet placing on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29.
Just over 3,000 people live on Lāna‘i. The island is home to a veterans cemetery. Moreover, the main cemetery holds many immigrants from around the world who came during the pineapple plantation era seeking better lives. Lāna‘i Culture & Heritage Center aims to honor all the people who helped shape the community.
